Organic marketing made easy
Attract new customers across Reddit, Twitter, FB Groups, and more.
Our Story
I’m Maddie, Stanford founder based in SF.
Like you, I love doing weird marketing approaches!
In my previous company, I found a niche way to get customers off Reddit. Every day, I’d find relevant posts and make a comment, subtly mentioning my brand 😀
The only bad part was that it was really time consuming. I’d spend hours each week surfacing posts and writing comments. But I had to do it otherwise my business would die.
Over the next 2 years, my company hit $350k. When I opened the metrics, I was shocked. Actually most of my customers came from my comments on Reddit, Twitter, etc.
I knew there had to be a way to make this easier, so I built a tool to streamline this whole process. I deployed it on Christal’s company (Shimmer.care) as a test. Within 1.5 months, she made 80 comments, got 15 conversions from Reddit, and generated $15k in value!
I really believe in finding unique, scrappy ways to find customers.
If you’re with me, let’s talk. I’d love to replicate this case study with your company.

Trusted by top tier companies
Built for companies needing to sift through thousands of conversations
(ADHD coaching, e-commerce, beauty, sex, fintech, prosumer, etc.)
Christal Wang (CEO @ Shimmer)
In the first 3 months of using OGTool, we generated ~12 conversions (mostly $230/mo plan) each month. OGTool costs $600/mo., so conversions are technically $50 CAC which is far lower than paid
Non-monetary value we’ve gotten:
- Feeds into blog, paid ads, and other avenues
- Understanding what people are organically talking about, in terms of ADHD
Customer since Feb 2024
Anna Wang (CEO @ Lioness)
In the last 30 days, we got around 11 sales from Reddit using our purchase tracking form. Since our product costs $200, that’s an extra $2,200 in revenue directly attributable to our Reddit marketing efforts.
Customer since Feb 2024
Shannon Davenport (CEO @ Esker Beauty)
We’ve received some fantastic feedback from the Reddit community:
- “Just got the Esker Body Plane! Thank you for the recommendation.”
- “Thank you! I just bought a whole cart worth of stuff from them.”
- “I bought their product on Amazon, thank you.”
Additionally, we’ve noticed an increase in sales on our site directly attributed to our Reddit engagement.

Shimmer’s case study – using OGTool on Reddit
OGTool tracks important keywords for Shimmer and helps us make sure we’re right there in the conversation. It:
- Tracks the key words
- Pings us when someone makes a relevant post
- Creates the AI-generated response
- Learns from our responses to make better responses
Following this, we:
- Manually respond either with the AI-generated response, an edited version of it, or a new one altogether
Results
Shimmer generated $36,000 in 3 months from Reddit!
In the first 3 months, we generated 36 conversions from Reddit using OGTool, mainly from the $230/month plan, with each customer worth $1,000. OGTool costs $600/mo., so conversions are technically $50 CAC which is far lower than paid. OGTool became their lowest CAC channel, 4X cheaper than any other paid channel
Non-monetary value we’ve gotten:
- Understanding what people are organically talking about, in terms of ADHD
- Feeds into blog, paid ads, and other avenues
Next Steps
Previously, only Chris was managing under 1 reddit account but we’ll be able to do a lot more and faster if we expand into multiple roles.
New personas to test:
- Chris (co-founder and member, talk about member journey but can be a lot more “informed” about the methodology, etc.)
- Trina (member, don’t have to talk about methodology but just talk about what she’s been working on, etc.)
- O’Ryan (member / someone looking for coaching)
